....Allegra est une artiste et designer formée à Milan et à New York, qui partage aujourd’hui son temps entre Londres et Naples. Reconnue pour son sens aigu des motifs, elle puise son inspiration dans le monde qui l’entoure, s’inspirant des couleurs et des formes changeantes de la nature. Ayant débuté sa carrière dans la peinture à fresque, Allegra continue aujourd’hui d’explorer la fluidité de l’aquarelle à travers une grande diversité de supports, allant de la peinture aux tapisseries, en passant par les tapis, le bronze coulé et le travail du métal, interrogeant ainsi la frontière subtile entre l’art et le design. ..Allegra is an artist and designer trained in Milan and New York, who now divides her time between London and Naples. ….Récemment, Allegra a présenté son travail lors de plusieurs expositions majeures. En octobre 2024, son exposition La Ginestra e il Vesuvio, inspirée du poème La Ginestra de Giacomo Leopardi, s’est tenue à l’Institut Culturel Italien de New York. Cette exposition réunissait huit œuvres multimédias, dont des tapisseries et des sculptures. Son installation Upon My Blood I Will Carry You, une œuvre saisissante teintée de rouge sang explorant les thèmes de la vie, de la mort et de la spiritualité, a été exposée à Palerme en 2024 à l’église S. Euno e Giuliano, après avoir été présentée en 2023 à Naples, à la Chiesa della Misericordiella. ..Recently, Allegra has presented her work at several major exhibitions. In October 2024, her exhibition La Ginestra e il Vesuvio, inspired by Giacomo Leopardi's poem La Ginestra, was held at the Italian Cultural Institute in New York. The exhibition featured eight multimedia works, including tapestries and sculptures. ….En 2022, à l’occasion de l’Italian Glass Week à Venise, Allegra a réalisé une tapisserie de 63 mètres carrés en lin peint, brodé de perles de verre de Murano, fusionnant ainsi son travail textile avec la tradition verrière vénitienne. Cette œuvre, qui interroge la fluidité de la vie et la frontière entre "intérieur" et "extérieur", a également été exposée à l’Institut Culturel Italien de Londres en mars 2023. ..In 2022, for Italian Glass Week in Venice, Allegra created a 63-square-meter tapestry in painted linen, embroidered with Murano glass beads, fusing her textile work with the Venetian glass tradition. ….Dans le cadre du programme EDIT Cult à Naples en 2022, Allegra a exposé sa tapisserie en soie Divinazione à l’église des Saints Filippo e Giacomo. En 2023, elle a conçu Lucielle pour EDIT Cult, une installation in situ mêlant la tradition religieuse napolitaine au design contemporain. Intégrant des éléments en porcelaine symbolisant une amande et un œil, cette œuvre rend hommage à Sainte Lucie en créant un dialogue entre spiritualité et esthétique moderne. En 2024, elle a présenté L’uovo di Partenope à l’Ipogeo dei Cristallini dans le cadre du programme EDIT Cult. Inspirée par la légende napolitaine de la sirène Partenope et du mystérieux œuf caché sous le Castel dell’Ovo, cette installation interroge la fragilité de la beauté et sa préservation, en résonance avec le cadre souterrain de l’Ipogeo. ..As part of the EDIT Cult program in Naples in 2022, Allegra exhibited her silk tapestry Divinazione at the Church of Saints Filippo e Giacomo. In 2023, she designed Lucielle for EDIT Cult, a site-specific installation blending Neapolitan religious tradition with contemporary design. Incorporating porcelain elements symbolizing an almond and an eye, this work pays tribute to Saint Lucia by creating a dialogue between spirituality and modern aesthetics. In 2024, she presented L'uovo di Partenope at the Ipogeo dei Cristallini as part of the EDIT Cult program. Inspired by the Neapolitan legend of the mermaid Partenope and the mysterious egg hidden beneath the Castel dell'Ovo, this installation questions the fragility of beauty and its preservation, resonating with the underground setting of the Ipogeo….
